DISTIN – Robert E. Distin, Jr., passed away suddenly on Friday, April 20, 2012. He was the loving husband of Cynthia (Gibb) Distin for 20 years. Born September 7, 1960 in New Britain; the son of the late Robert and Flora (Hull) Distin. He worked for the State of Connecticut as a Bridge Crew Supervisor in the DOT for over 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was also an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He was a great storyteller and will be deeply missed. Besides his devoted wife, he is survived by his brother, Ronald Distin of Canaan; two sisters, Theresa Mooney of Winsted and Sabrina Aldridge of Northfield; niece and nephews, Christine, Douglas, Jr., Rory, Matthew, and Connor. Friends may call on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 11 AM - 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM.
