MARTOCCHIO – Joseph G. Martocchio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of Theresa (Oswell) Martocchio for 53 years. Born April 3, 1938 in Hartford; the son of the late Emilio and Elvira (Tarquinio) Martocchio. Joe owned and operated Joe's Market and West Hill Siding & Windows in New Hartford. After retiring, he later worked at Marandino's part time for many years. He enjoyed golfing, playing guitar and coaching baseball and basketball. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and a member of The Knights of Columbus and the J.C. Joe also held many offices in the Town of New Hartford. Besides his loving wife, he leaves a son, Joseph M. Martocchio of New Hartford; two daughters, Ellen M. Dileo of FL and Gloria J. Case of Colebrook; three brothers, Louis Martocchio of New Hartford, Emilio Martocchio of Farmington and George Martocchio of FL; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings, Jean Hawkins, Albert Martocchio and Benjamin Martocchio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, New Hartford at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Hartford.
