NEW HARTFORD – Roger Joseph Martel, 88, beloved husband of the late Gilberte (Piven) Martel, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2012. Roger was a hardworker who loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. He was predeceased by a son, Michel Martel. He leaves two sons, Richard Martel and wife Linda of Kentucky and Raymond Martel of Enfield; a daughter, Lynn Dube and husband Joe of New Hartford; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Mt St Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield at 11AM. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Rd., New Hartford has care of the arrangements.
