SANDISFIELD, MA – Henry Raymond Zelek, beloved husband of Joyce (Post) Zelek, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at his home. He was predeceased by two wives, Geraldine and Theresa. Born February 8, 1924 in New Britain, CT; the son of the late John and Rose (Waligura) Zelek. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Henry was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He retired as a Foreman from National Welding Company in Newington. In addition to his wife, he leaves children, Susan Zelek, Henry Joseph Zelek, Sr., Jeffrey Zelek, John Zelek and Howard Zelek; step-son, John Post; step-daughter, Susan Bylykbashi; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Bak and husband Raymond; many nieces and nephews; special nephew, John Edward Groman; and special Sandisfield friends, the Comier Family. He was predeceased by step-daughter, Cheryl Walsh and his siblings, Louise Glazier, Maryanne Groman, John, Peter, Joseph, Edward and Raymond Zelek. Friends may call on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 10 AM – 12 PM.
