STEWART – Robert Stewart, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2012. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Goetz) Stewart. Born August 21, 1937 in Winsted, the son of the late Edward and Loretta Stewart. Robert was a lifelong resident of West Hartland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was employed at Hitchcock Chair for more than 40 years. He leaves: (2) sons Robert G. Stewart Jr., and wife Lisa of Harwinton and James E. Stewart and his wife Barbara of Barkhamsted; brothers, Donald and Gary; sisters, Diane, Dolly and Linda; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, "Eddy." Graveside Services will be private. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements.
