BARR - Virginia "Ginny" Barr, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Henry Barr. Born November 26, 1921 in Hartford, CT; the daughter of the late Frederick H. Jarvis and Elizabeth (Ebersold) Jarvis. Ginny graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford and attended one year at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA. She also attended her parents Merchant & Banks Business School in Hartford. She loved interior decorating, gardening and antique collecting. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret A. Barr of Winchester; a sister, Nancy L. Jarvis of Bristol, RI; a niece, Ann LaCroix of Concord, NH; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Frederick H. Jarvis, II. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted at 1 PM with Rev. James DiQuattro officiating. Burial will be held at Town Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Friends may call on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, Winsted from 12:30 - 1 PM.
