RAMSAY - Bernece Lemere White Ramsay, wife of the late Dillon F. Ramsay (12.27.02) died peacefully at home on October 16, 2010 after a long illness. Bernece was born on November 7, 1927 in St. Johnsbury Vermont. She was the daughter of the late Caleb and Vita White. Bernece is survived by her son, James D. Ramsay and wife Charlene of Vermont, her son, Tim Ramsay and wife Heidi of Barkhamsted and her daughter, JoAnne Ramsay Stumpf of Winsted. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jacquelyn Ramsay Tolman, Jonathan Ramsay, Ashlyn and Bryce Ramsay, Sara Stumpf Krhla, Bob and Brian Stumpf. Her six great grandchildren also survive her; Abigail, Meghan, Ryan, Lauren, Logan and Evan. Siblings that survive her are Pete and Bob Lemere, Lee White, Margaret Kessler and Shirley Murray. Siblings that predeceased her were Earl, Joseph, Jr., Otis, Anna, Philip, John, Eugene and Patrick. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at St. Joseph Church, Winsted at 10:00 AM. The internment will immediately follow at Winchester Center Cemetery. At Bernece's request, there are no calling hours. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of the arrangements.
