DERESIENSKI - Sophie J. Deresienski, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 1, 2010. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Deresienski. Born October 2, 1920 in Suffield, CT, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Mary (Olschefska) Zenesky. Sophie was a resident of Windsor for 60 years. For the last 6 years, she resided in Granby with her daughter Susan. She was a communicant of St. Therese's Church in Granby and formerly St. Gertrude's Church in Windsor. She is survived by a son, Fr. Stanley M. Deresienski, S.S.E. of South Burlington, VT; a daughter, Susan M. Testa of North Granby; a sister, Janet Devin and her husband, Richard of West Suffield; grandchildren, Jason Montano and his wife, Susan of New Hartford, Nicole LaFond and her husband James of Glastonbury and Amanda Testa of North Granby; great grandchildren, Mitchell and Marisa Montano, both of New Hartford, and several nieces and nephews. Sophie also leaves her extended family of Fathers and Brothers of the Society of Saint Edmund at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, James Testa; two brothers, Mitchell Zenesky and Charles Zenesky; and a sister, Florence Zenesky. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Therese's Church, Granby at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Windsor Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Windsor. Friends may call on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at St. Therese's Church, Granby from 10 - 11 AM.
