I am so truly sorry for your loss and I share it with you because she was a true friend to me. We enjoyed having lunch together, visiting and sharing the goings on of our children and grandchildren. She was so proud of all of you and so happy to see her grandchildren growing up and starting new lives in college and the working world. She had such love to give and always had time to listen. We hadn't been able to see each other much since my husband was diagnosed with ALS but we spoke on the phone sometimes for over an hour. The last I heard of her was the message she left on my answering machine a few days before she passed. I'll miss her so much.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She was such a vibrant person - I'm glad we were able to see her at her "moving out of the neighborhood" party recently. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am in shock. I have so many warm memories of growing up with you and of your dear mom's role in all that. Of shared laughter and of how we loved surprising her. Of how giving and gracious she was.
