Dear Jones family. Growing up in the "Valley" I will always remember your dad fondly. Please accept my sincerest sympathy. Jack Grant

Mrs. Jones and family, although my home is now in Florida my roots will always be in Pleasant Valley. My mom called me to let me know of your loss and I wanted to send my thoughts and prayers your way. I will always see him standing out in front of the business on River Road waving as I drove by. He and your family are part of the fond memories I hold in my heart from home. Again, my thoughts are will you all during this difficult time. May you all find peace in remembering the wonderful man he was during this short time we all have together.

Bud sold me, my first new car from Bristols Garage in Canton. When he was Constable of Barkhamsted, he was a mentor to the young firefighters, me included. Bud was someone we all looked up to, and he watched over all of us, and at 17 yrs of age, we needed all the help we could get. This was in 1956. Thru the years I've thought back on those days with fond memories and how much Bud played in all our lives. My heart and deepest condolences go out to Bud's family. He was a wonderful man, that touched numerous lives. I consider myself to be just one of those. Ronnie
